Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are an increasingly popular alternative to traditional braces for straightening teeth. These aligners are custom-made, transparent, removable trays that gradually shift teeth into the desired position. They are typically made of smooth, BPA-free plastic and are designed to fit snugly over the teeth.
The process begins with a dental consultation, where a dentist or orthodontist creates a 3D digital scan of the patient’s teeth. This scan is used to map out a precise treatment plan, detailing the gradual movement of the teeth. A series of aligners is then created, each to be worn for about two weeks before moving on to the next one in the series. Each new aligner is slightly different from the previous one, applying gentle pressure to the teeth to move them gradually.
